After reading reviews on these computer speakers, I bought a set about a year and a half ago. I’m extremely pleased with them as they sound fantastic. The biggest “negative” is that they won’t shake the house. Hmmm… the way kids turn up the volume, that may not be all that bad. And they won’t cost you $400 like a Klipsch system. I’ve never seen a bad review of these speakers. GM has started putting Monsoon systems in some of their cars as the premium sound system option.

Summary from ZDNet review: “The MH-505 may not advance the state of the art, but at anything less than the highest output levels, it's one of the more transparent, detailed, and accurate 5.1 offerings on the market, regardless of price. At under $200, it's a steal.”

I’m not sure of the shipping cost, so you may want to arrange in-store pick-up. Going through ****** will get you an additional 1% kick-back. $179.99 – 50 MIR = $129.99

the best part about the speakers is that they're flat panel. They work wonders in a dorm room and provide more than enough sound to fill a larger dorm room with great 5.1 sound from a dvd.
