okey dokes...i looked at freshmeat and found a few msn clones. some look pretty good. so of course i'm wondering what y'all have liked so far.
amsn works, but it hogs the resources :|
and your using a MS based product on linux because....? ;)
Sorry I can't help I prefer to work while in linux :P

ya, amsn works nicely and it handles foriegn characters well. on the otherhand, gaim is pretty nice too, since it's an all in one dealy. but you have to "install" the msn plugin, which isn't at all hard to do. the one thing i really dislike about gaim is that it doesn't handle foreign characters at all.

i'll check out gaim again. i didn't know there were other packages available for it. thanks ;)
gaim keeps crashing on me. i get segfaults at event_blist_update (debug window open). any ideas? it does open and retrieves all my buddies, and i can message them for like...um...30 sec before segfault.
