HAHAHA, pay for file planet, hahahaha. Whoo, that was a good one... hahaha.:heh:
I was looking forward to the game, but I think it'll have to wait for the next CPU upgrade. I don't think a 700MHz Duron is going to be able to handle this one.

Looks like it's going to be a pretty cool game! I hope it isn't a bust like Tibirian Sun was...

Just to let you all in....
The game is GREAT! So much fun! I played it all yesterday! I dont want to spoil anything for you guys but the graphics are great, the game play is fun, and man o man, wc3 got some competition now!
Also, paying for fileplanet isnt that bad  I share it with a few friends so we all only pay 5 bucks amonth, we just use the same account. I pay more though, so I get all the betas, they dont, BWAHAHAHAHA :bigmouth:

Yo Blitz...the file you download is just a exe, right. Does it require any special activation or anything? Why can't the other guys also download the beta? And...why can't you kick down and help a brother out? :-p

PS - If not, could you just tell me the approximate size in megabytes so i make sure I download the right thing?

yup yup! Its a exe file, but you have to activate it with a code you get from fileplanet..... so even if you got the beta, you couldnt really run it unless you got a fake code and ran it on a personal server like all those people did with the hacked wc3 beta
I got the game uh....early. The real game runs a lot better than the demo but I have to say the gameplay is no where NEAR as good as warcraft 3. The units just move slow and akwardly. The first player missions are anything but exciting. I had NO fun playing the first 3 missions. I think this game i gonna flop like the other C&C's :(. I was totally expecting this game to kick ass too. I couldn't play online though cause uh....westwood hasn't put up the server . However, even the direct connect option did not seem to work in the game. I opened all the ports specified in the manual and no go. I unplugged my router and hooked my my NIC directly to cable modem and still unable to direct connect to a friend . That's the kind of programming in this game.

**cough** ISO? *Cough**
How did you get it early?
FYI, only thing that matters is multiplayer...but I think it will be fun. From playing the multiplayer demo, I been having a blast. I find it alot more exciting than wc3 has been (mind you I was a hardcore wc3 player). Stress level isnt so high in that you can actually enjoy playing it, sending nukes, suicide bombers, snipers...
oh the joy:rolleyes:

Red Alert 2 was and still is plaqued by a bad match-making program. I found C&C Renegades's ping times to be just about random...sounds like General's internet modules is par for the course for the C&C games.
