I talked to my friend who has a domain registration site, and he set up these at cost prices for this weekend only. So for this weekend, you can get a .us or .biz site for only $5.95 a year.
I know .us and .biz aren't as popular as .com, .net and .org, but they are fairly new and you can get the name you've always wanted. But if you're set on a .com name, you can get it for $8.75 there as well.
