Anyone else having problems with Dell 2 for $646 deal?

I ordered this on Thursday night and still have yet to get a confirmation email. A friend of mine ordered it Friday afternoon and then called up Dell for some reason and they told her it was some kind of illegal linking from another site or something. Can they do this? Apperently they were pretty rude to her too. I guess they can say there's no proof since I never got an email and stupid me didn't print out the last page. I'm just wondering if anyone got their order to go through and if so, how did you do it? Was the computer a featured system in SB? If not, how did th elink put two in the cart? Thanks for any info.

I always printout the page before I submit and after I submit an order. I've bought about a dozen systems for family and friends from dell this past year. The acknowlegment comes right away and the comfirm usually later that day or the next dat. Hope it helps.

Yes, I got my confirmation Friday but received a second order confirmation Monday morning saying that it was a price mistake that cannot be honored. :mad:

I received a confirmation e-mail this morning about the pricing error. It gave me a special code for 10% off, which I am not using. I hope someone out there will make good use of it. I don't know if it's valid for more than one use.

I guess misery loves company - it's small comfort to know others were disappointed as well.
I had ordered 2 Dells by 11:30 a.m. Friday. Got message back yesterday afternoon it was a no-go. It really doesn't seem right after Dell's ordering system accepted the order and priced it correctly according to the deal. Pretty poor business. They must not have heard that every unhappy customer tells at least 7 other people to say nothing of the people these posts/forums reach!
Better luck to all of us next time - maybe we'll find an even better deal!
