I just tried this version, seems to work very well. I had Kazaa Lite 2.0.0 previously, and lots of the stuff on queue would take forever to download.
This one, you can set your participation level to remain at 1000. :) You also have the option to install many of the other tools to accompany Kazaa Lite. Download it at http://www.k-lite.tk .

nope, their different versions. my ad-aware didn't catch anything, nor did my NAV.. whats interesting is that on kazaalite.com's HOST file, they have k-lite.tk blocked. *shrug* it works for me.. :)

That's good as the participation level thingy on mine is wack. I leave it on for a couple of days and have like 200 uploaded files but for some reason it stays at 15. I don't get it.

Kzap is similar to a previous add-on program called SpeedUp Tool. It'll find more sources every # of seconds, depending on what you specify, clear downloads, start queued, remote query retry, restart failed downloads... and for uploads, it can clear uploads, and prevent hogging. :)
As for the participation level, i dunno what to say but it supposed to be relative to how much you download too. but when i was running a cheater program before, it took a long time for even that to get to a decent level. i would have to *fake* upload a few GB before it even got to 100 participation.

:stupid: I just started using this version last night and the porn just flew in :P I think it has to do with the rating. As I mentioned earlier mine always kept me at a low level. With the 1000 rating...Well, let's just say it is much better.

Really??? If that's true that might be why I can't play any of the Yahoo Online Games, or get directions from Yahoo Maps and travel deals through them either. Also the pictures from gamespot are just red X's.

You need to disable whatever ad-blocker you're using. I had the same problem. Also, enable cookies, because I had the problem where I wasn't using temporary internte files and no pictures were showing up on any sites.

anyone have complaints about kazaa interfering with normal websurfing? kazaa lite only "screws" with ads when using the "supertrick". the supertrick is a HOSTS file which directs all links to ad sites to your loopback address, 127.0.0.1 which brings up a "Cannot find server" error. it makes it hard for me to navigate through the G|A? forums so i made a version that will work here. if anyone wants to host it let me know.

Does your point rating really help your download speed or is that just something they say to get you to host more files? Won't having more people uploading from you just slow your own downloads?

it supposedly does have an effect.. as some people have stated here, their downloads are actually going through. and uploading to other people may slow your downloads.. depending upon what type of connection you have.. and if they reach your max output.. at least thats the case with my systems.
