Oops, I said this weekend, and I should have said Sunday and Monday.

Also: UNIVERSAL BUSLINK 52x MAX CD-RW DRIVE $69.94 before $50 mail-in rebate Valid Feb 16 - 17 only

Don't know anything about this drive, but $19.94 after rebate is about as cheap as these things get. Comes with Nero software too.

Anybody know about whether the Cendyne DVD-R/RW 4X drive is any good?

It's a rebadged Pioneer 105. For every good review, you'll see a bad one. YMMV with this thing.

I bought the same DVD-R/RW drive from Staples a month ago. It's an OEM Pioneer DVR-105. The drive works great and it's pretty quiet. I burn DVD using cheap Khypermedia 1X DVD-Rs and they work fine in my JVC XV-S502SL. I would recommend this drive if you are in a market for one!

Use code 79473 to get an additional $50 off. That makes the Cendyne DVD writer only $139.98 after rebate. I wish I would have waited!

EDIT: I just tried the coupon. It said it is for phone-in or in-store use only.

i've always wondered why 40BG hdd are the same price as 80GB hdd. i've been looking for just one ~40gig and they're ~$90.

Went to the local B&M first thing this morning and got the drive, but when I tried to use the code I was told I had to print out the coupon /screen with the code on it, but that they'd honor it if I came back with it later. Where did you find it?

Look at the reply from passwird in "Need Deals". You will have to ask him.

Just ordered one. (90, -10coupon, -40 rebate) Happens to be the same drive that I got from OfficeDepot for the same price last November. These drives are really fast and quiet, faster in fact than my old 40x2 RAID 0 array. So, I'm going to use this drive and the last one and rebuild the array with the faster drives.
