What are the best ways to remove my fax number and my snail-mail address off unsolicited spam advertisements? I had written a letter to an address in NYC that my apartment mgmt had provided to have myself removed from the majority of snail-mail spam. I have noticed a significant decrease in the crap that stuffs my mailbox, but there are still flyers and leaflets that still come pouring in.

Lately, especially here at work, i have been receiving fax spam every hour. In the past 20 minutes, i've received 3 separate faxes and it's beginning to piss me off.

Does anyone know how I can remove myself from these lousy databases?

there should be a phone number on any unsolicited fax that you can call and have your number removed.

there are some pretty strict federal laws about that stuff, so it shouldn't be too hard (other than having to waste time calling the number).

If you are gettign Fax spammed, there is usually the senders phone number on there, I just take the number and fax back stop faxing me. If that doesnt work revenge is next, get a black peice of paper and fax it to them, once you get it going tape the paper into a loop thus wasting all their toner or spool, only works on smaller home base people, but try lilbigblue way first, sounds the most legal and easiest.

i get fax spammed all the time on my normal phone line which annoys the hell out of me. the problem is that if it fails the first time it will keep trying until it gets it. so one time i hooked up a fax machine (not so easy when the line is hooked up to a ksu) and recieved the fax. i called the voice line in the header but the number doesnt work. then i faxed them to stop but the fax doesnt go through. what a pain. i tried contacting the bbb once, but without a real number (*69 says it cannot get the number) there isnt much they can do.
