I wonder... if there is a utility that could sort of "scan" a font in a picture and identify what it is. If you can't copy the text into a word editing program, you're up the creek as to what font it is... hmm.

i tried identifont (http://www.identifont.com/) a while ago, unfortunately it didnt find the font i was looking for. hope it helps someone
