at work they are now instituting mandatory ids for employees. want them to be on 3 1/2 by 2 1/8 inch cards. but the thing is they want them not to be time consuming to make so they want to have a template set up and just print them off the computer. does anyone know of a program that you can make up a template in then print it onto cards? thx

If you don't need anything fancy, you can set up custom templates in Word... just set a custom paper size & work within that space.

If you want to get even more simple (but spend some money), you can get a card printer that just prints ID cards... it comes w/software so that you just pop in a picture & whatever data you want & it prints it right onto a plastic ID card. You can get them from:

http://www.fargo.com/
http://www.eltroncards.com/
http://www.securityimaging.com/PPF/categoryid/5/category.asp
http://www.datacard.com/

plus about a thousand other places. Just do a google for 'ID card printer'.
