What are some fun gadgets to buy from Thailand?

Okay, so my dad's in Thailand right now on vacation, and I figure now's a good time to take advantage of technological toys available in Asia which won't be released in the US for probably another year or so (maybe longer!).

Does anyone know of some cool gadgets I could tell my dad to buy while he's there?

I don't know about gadgets-but I have purchased quite a bit of unset gemstones from a dealer in Thailand. :)

Last time I was there, there were a lot of laser pointers for sale. Those are decently cool. There's also those places that sell...err..."backup" copies of games and software.
