tripod recommendation

I was wondering if anyone had any tripod recommendations for SLR camera? I have a Elan 7 with a 50mm and a 28-135 zoom lens. I was looking around 150 for the tripod, and will want to travel/hike with it. So i am not looking for the lightest tripod, but def. want it light enough to carry around easily, in a large pack, or tied to a backpack. Thank's for any suggestions

What's your budget. I have a Bogen tripod... not good for hiking since it's pretty heavy. I think Slik has a carbon fiber one.
