I've decided to get an Inspiron 8200 because of all the recent price drops on that model. I've had this computer for about 4 months now and it's in mint condition. Runs very reliably and fast, as the benchmarks below show.

*Intel Pentium 4 - Mobile 1.7GHz (512 L2 Cache)
*512 PC2100 DDR SDRAM (266 mhz) (upgradable to 1GIG)
*24x CD-RW/DVD Combination Drive (fastest Dell offers currently)
*16 DDR SGRAM Mobility Radeon 7500 AGP 4x Video Card
*LCD 14.1" XGA (1024x768) TFT Screen
*30GB (4200rpm) Hard Drive
*Integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless networking support
*Actiontec V92 56K Internal Modem
*66Whr Lithium-Ion Battery with ExpressCharge Technology (8 cell)
*3.5" Modular Floppy Drive
*Synpatics Touchpad and Pointing Stick
*Microsoft Works Suite 2002
*Windows XP Home Edition

Benchmarks:
3DMark2001SE: 3156 (D3D Pure Hardware T&L - all settings max)

If you look in the Dell forums, you will find that this 3DMark2001 score is comparable to Inspiron 4150's with 32MB Mobility Radeon 7500's! (You can also check the built-in OnlineResult Browser for the scores of other computers with the Mobility Radeon chip).

Also, this computer has outstanding battery life. In normal Office use, I get anywhere from 3 hours 30 min to 4 hours of battery life.

Asking price: $1260 (shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.)

I forgot to calulate shipping costs in the original price. The updated price is now accurate for anywhere within the continental U.S.
