gaim always crashes on me. it loads my whole list, then about 30 sec into running it gets an error code:

"couldn't read flap header"

gaim 0.59.8, redhat linux 7.2, generic kernel.

any ideas?

That's actually a new problem that has developed recently with all third-party clients connecting to AOL's servers.

I had the same problem with Trillian today and needed to download a patch to resolve the issue.

i suspected that. i remember the thing with trillian that went on forever. i guess they won't let up :angry:

oddly enough, my everybuddy works with aim, but it seems to...suck. i mean it works, but i don't like the gui.

there is an everybuddy available for windows too, if anyone's interested. i forget the url but i'm sure it's not hard to find. it's like trillian in that it works with aim, msn, etc.
