How do I slow down the screen saver?

My screen saver are these chinese characters scrolling across my screen. It looks pretty cool but the problem is that it scrolls too fast. Is there any way to slow or turn the speed down?

If the screen saver is a custom screen saver(meaning not controlled by Windows) then there might be a configuration program that you can run that came with it, that will allow you to slow down the speed of the scroll.
