What files are initiated at bootup within Windows 2000 Professional?
I looked at my boot.ini file to see what exactly was loading up with my system, but the file was practically empty.
The reason why i'm asking is because I want to eliminate the boot of any useless background services etc. I have my computers networks through a router, so i don't think that the longer-than-expected boot times are network related...but i guess it could be.
Does anyone know of the best ways to configure my OS to boot optimally?
These are my systems:
Inspiron 4000
256MB PC100
PIII 800MHz
Win2K Pro
Desktop machine:
256MB PC2700
AMD 1600XP
Win2K Pro
TIA
