Today only, they're selling the Dell 1800FP (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=462-0135) for $449. They have a 10% discount on monitors & free shipping today as well. Add in the 5% stackable coupon on the deals page, and you're down to $384 plus tax.

Wish I had some extra cash for one of these...

Mmmmm, 18" of sweetness. I just picked up 3 of them for me, my wife, and my sister in law.

When I can get the 2000fp for $750 or less Shipped (yes I know about the one on the deals page that costs over $800 shipped) I'll re-gift my 18".

I got the 1800FP for $451 about a month ago. I'm debating getting another one ($410.77) or going for the 20" ($795.01). I think I'll hold off on the bigger screen for now. I could get two of the 18" for almost the same price.

Give them a call - they'll match the new price if it was only a week ago. I've done that with Dell before.

So much for award winning customer service. Dell is really starting to suck.

I tried calling and explaining that I was unhappy that I had bought the same monitor for over $100 more several weeks ago. To begin with, I got a rude service tech who would not let me talk to a supervisor. Instead of offering a credit, they wanted me to package up the monitor I have (in the original packaging that I don't have), send it back for credit and order another one at the new price.

Since I don't have a replacement to use while I wait for all this shipping, I asked why I needed to do a trade of a perfectly working monitor? "That's the way we do it" they said. I asked if they could just issue a credit to my credit card. They can't do that with peripherals. Mind you, she is being really rude and smart with me the whole time. I told her that they absolutely do do that and I pointed her to an invoice of mime that IS a partial credit on a peripheral.

That is the second time I have called them and got really horrably crappy service!

Update:

I called back and talked to another service tech and got much further this time. This guy had nothing but apologizes about the previous call (did I mention that the witch from the first call would NOT let me talk to a supervisor after I asked 4 times?). Anyway, This guy is giving me complete and full credit (including taxes) for the first monitor, sending a shipping label for the return of the first one and indicating that it will not be shipped back until I receive the second monitor. Basically, It's all on their dime and I get nearly $150 back. He agreed that it was stupid that the only way to do this was to ship it back, but stated that it was the way Dell returns had it setup.

Oh well, As long as Dell is paying for everything...

I got in last night on this deal. It's cheaper then even eBay's Same model. I feel fortunent. Thanks, GotApex for the deal! I called today cause of a slight error on my part in ordering it, and I asked him to aply the new 40.00 of 400.00 coupon, and he told me I'm lucky to have even gotten it in the first place at that price, and that with that deal there should have been no options of any discounts or coupons. heh, sweeet.

I did order the 1800FP last night. I'll get a bigger screen when the price comes down a little more. Now I can't decide on using two of the 1800FP's on one computer, or replace one of my CRT monitors on another system.
