:( My boyfriend's birthday is coming up, and I'm trying to think of something to do for him. Prob is, I can't pay my rent this month much less go buy him a big expensive gift. I've been trying to think of stuff I could make, but I'm not terribly creative, so any suggestions you guys have would be great!

1. Get a nice picture frame and put a special picture of you and him in there.

2. Get a DVD he would like.

3. Get a CD he would like.

4. Get him a GC to his favorite store.

5. Get him Legos! :D (I love Legos....so I would be happy if my girlfriend got me some!)

6. Cook him a romantic dinner.

7. Have a video night with him.

Get him one of these paintings. Art (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53394&highlight=blood) You could make it your self :-)
Do his laundry, make dinner, get him a car poster, get him a tee shirt, get him socks, or wash his car.

Ok... go to the store and buy

bread
some sort of luncheon meat
precut salad mix
cheese
saran wrap
a relatively cheap bottle of wine

Go to his place before he gets home. take bread, luncheon meat, chese and salad mix and make a sandwich. Take saran wrap and wrap around naked body. Open bottle of wine. Wait till he gets home... hope he doesn't bring friends home with him.

obviously, there are already many good suggestions about sex, so i don't need to repeat those :heh:

i second GG's suggestion about DVDs or CDs. in general, guys are easy to please. we're just as happy with a cool DVD as with anything else (other than maybe cars or plasma screen TVs :P)

don't know if he's a sports fan, but if he likes basketball, football, or even wrestling (by that i mean the wrestling on tv, not the one in the bedroom.) you can rent videos and have a nice dinner and watch the videos. if he likes basketball, rent michael jordan's playground, if he likes wrestling, any WWE special event, etc. you get the point.

oh yeah, afterwards, wrestling in the bedroom is a nice way to top off the nite.

Well, I am in the same boat..my bf's bday is on Friday and I am broke...:( but getting a get together with his friends for dinner is something nice, everyone can chip in...then throw in a 3some...that's free...:P..j/k...something that reminds him of you everytime he looks at it...like a small frame with a pic of the two of you would be nice...I live with mine..so it is a lil different...good luck! :) Oh Don't forget lots of :kiss: :kiss:

Sex is the only option on b-days. But you gotta make it special sex. Do something different, something that you've never done. You want to make it stick out (:P). And if your broke, if they are good b/fs they will understand the lack of a material thing. If you feel the need to get them something, make a card/buy a card. that way you get them something, and then they get something.

Or you can just avoid them like the plague until you have some money. :P

One thing my fiance always enjoyed was getting a coupon book. You can just make up little coupons for things like "one free back rub" or something like that. It is essentially free, and it is something he can enjoy using for more than a little while. ;)

he'll go gagga :love: (or, if he doesn't, he doesn't appreciate you enough)

yeah coupon books are good, or I told my gf that she should just always have a bottle of chocolate sauce so if she ever forgets a present she can just cover herself in that and it'll be fine :)

i mean who doesn't like a girl covered in chocolate!

Get naked, tie a big ribbon around yourself and place yourself in his bed - perfect present!

Or: get some massage oil (<$15 for decent stuff) work him into a frenzy and then finish him up :)

i ended up attacking his room with tons of balloons and streamers and stuff (cost me < 10 bucks at the store to get the supplies!), and then leaving an MP3 of a terribly annoying happy birthday song repeating. So when he came home from work, he was totally surprised to see his room covered in stuff!! :D

and of course, he got the special birthday sex... ;)

Overall, he was really happy, and didn't care at all that I couldn't afford to buy him an expensive gift. :)
