I just sent in my rebate last week. Buy.com
had e-stamp backordered since I ordered it
on 6/22/00.

Has anyone tried the e-stamp software?

I think it is a pain to use. I'm trying
to spend all my postage money out of it.

No rebate yet...it has only been about a month, so I would at least one more.

As for the e-stamp software...I wouldn't use it if it weren't free, but what the heck, it was a good deal.

Yeah, me too.. this software sucks, and the stupid electronic vault doesn't connect right, so I can't print stamps at all..

I still haven't even opened The E-stamp box(except for the tiny hole for the rebate). Looks a bit complicated...and my GF is office manager for a company(free stamps and meter).

Nothing yet, but I never expect to receive a rebate at the early end of their 4-6 or 6-8 weeks, whatever it was.

I tried to use the E-stamps thing. I didn't get very far with it though.

I didn't get mine yet.

I mailed mine in on June 20.

I setup the software and got my license approved. So, do they automatically send you the dongle or what? Or, do I have to do another step?

Stamps.com was alot easier than this.

After you sign up and get your license approved (24 hours) and after you get
your vault installed into your
parallel port, you can start printing.

My gripes about printing are
1) You can't just print on any label, need
the big ones like the samples they provide

2) The meter printing is huge

Also, the tech support staff has to say
"please hold while I ask someone" to
every question I present.

I sent my rebate in a while ago. I still don't have anything back. I have been using the estamp software. It was a pain in the ass to get it all running correctly, but now that it's set I think that I will use it even after my $50 credit is gone. That could also be because I am to lazy to go to the post office.

Hey rev, what did you have to do to get it running ? I'm still having problems with it, and their e-mail technical support doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the bunch.. It still will not see my electronic vault when I try it print real stamps.. I can print all the test stamps in the world that I want..

oh well..

Sorry that it took me so long to get back on this. I didn't have a problem with the vault, my problem was with the way the software interacted with the printer. No matter what I sent the properties to, it would try to print portrait, and I needed landscape. Eventually I got it working (I'm still not sure how). BTW: I got the rebate check on sat!!!
Woo-Hoo!!!

I sent my rebate request on July 3rd, received it August 4th.

I successfully installed and used the E-Stamp software and got my $50 in free postage. I believe you need to activate your "electronic vault" by August 15th to get the free postage, so get on it! Make sure you follow the "getting started" instructions completely!

BTW, Stamps.com is *much* easier, but the free printer is great! These services make it easy to ship my eBay stuff, I'll probably keep using them after the free postage runs out.

I must comment that this has been one of the best deals I have participated in.. the printer came in less than 1 week, and the rebate came in less than 6..

now if I could get the d*mn software to work..

thanks apex!
