Changing the xp boot splash screen

make note, if you happen to upgrade to service pack 2 soon with a modified boot screen, the install of the service pack will complain about an illegal OS file and refuse the install....no questions. so just revert to the old one when installing a sp.

I've done it before, just make a backup copy of your current bootup screen file (I forgot which) and replace it with the new one. If it gives you problems later on, just replace it back using the backup copy you created.

I used to use a program called BootXP which worked very well. I think its now nagware or shareware but if you can find the old version it still works very well.
