I just learn and pick up myself from Circuit City that they pricematch Amazon. Don't ask if they match online... ask if they match Amazon... that is the keyword.

They told me they match BIG RELIABLE Online stores.

I check with 2 Circuit City Stores, so its not just luck.
Store #1 - this is where I ask about pricematch from Amazon and they said yes, but they are out of that model...then they told me it was in the other store.

Store #2 - ask the same question and YES!!! and pick up MY ReplayTV!!!

Good Luck!!!

Anyone know of any Hack for this ReplayTV?
I know of:
1. Add a second Hard Drive.
2. Transfer ReplayTV to PC.

...exists... but won't be released unless Sonic Blue goes under.

Otherwise, there is no hack.

Visit avsforum.com to verify this. (the Replay forums)

1. Add a second Hard Drive.Check out the RTVPatch (http://rtvpatch.sourceforge.net/) web site for the software and information needed for this. However, with the 5000 series, some folks are recommending that you just transfer the ReplayTV files to your PC where you can add storage as needed. This way, you won't have to void your warranty by popping the top off the ReplayTV.

2. Transfer ReplayTV to PC.
Use either ReplayPC (http://replaypc.sourceforge.net/) or DVArchive (http://dvarchive.sourceforge.net/) to accomplish this. You can check out the *Updated Price Amazon - ReplayTV RTV-5040 $118.94 AR (w/coupon) (http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=gotapex&p=13&o=1&l=ez&f=ifr) thread where Speedfreak goes over his preferred method.
