In Exchange 2000 a person at work was entering our consultant data to setup their user accounts. However, she entered it into the Contact lists, rather than User lists. Now, when she tries to delete the SMTP email address from the contact lists, she receives the error:
"Cannot remove primary SMTP email address"
This doesn't make sense to me and my boss is slightly too busy to help her (so she asked me).
The only thing I could find was deleting ALL of the email addresses under that contact, but we don't want to do that. We just want to delete their exchange email address.
