Hey Yall...
I got a coworker here that burned some jpeg's from a MAC (burned cd) and tried to open them up on a PC (windows XP and 2k) The directories showed up... but none of the actual files would show...
Got any suggestions?
Thanks

I believe Macs don't, by default, throw extensions on the end of its files. Try copying a file to your hard drive and giving it the .jpg extension and see if that does it.

What ironchef said is correct, although OSX does at times and cross-platform applications like Photoshop do as well.
Just add the extension and you should be fine.

The thing is... the file itself doesn't even show up. I know what you guys are talking about... but yea... I have no file access in the first place...

Copy the whole folder is not an option, by any chance?

Has this disc been proven to work on a Mac?

Yea it has... hehe... Does it maybe have anything to do w/ NOT being a "hybrid" disc er other... I have NO idea about a MAC... although I did hear something about a HYBRID thingamabobber...

right click on the folder and choose properties and see if there is even data in the dir. if it shows that the folder is X# of mb then the files may be hidded go into the folder and select tools and options and make sure you dont have hiden and known file types selected

Yeah, you're on the mark. Windows can't read MAC's heirarchical file system (HFS). I'm not aware of any program to correct your problem. Only solution i know of is to reburn using toast.
Though i have transferred files from mac to pc on a network. I don't know why the files (mpeg, jpeg, etc.) would work through that method.
