Just curious of there were any DoD players out there. And if so, anyone running their own server?

:(
We took ours down due to a lack of traffic (and Natural-Selection came along). I miss it though, it's a great game.

Man, I love that game. I was all over that when if first came out. Haven't played it for awhile.

There are still several servers playing it, but i think even in the relatively short time I've been playing it, those numbers have gone down.

i stopped playing DoD after they released version with the added the paratrooper feature (I thought it was lame). But now, with this new version (its no longer beta :D ) the player models look clean, the interface is nice and tidy and you also get a spiffy map. I'm hooked on DoD again!

From what little I've seen of the new 1.0, it seems much more graphically intensive, which is cool. I've heard there's a mini map in the top right of the screen showing where all the players on both teams are. If this really is true, I think it's a terrible idea.
It is quite interesting to see how popular DoD was and then following up with a purchasable game. I guess they never thought it was going to be as popular of a game as it is.

I have a 3.1 server that I will probably be moving over to 1.0. In GameSpy, the server name is Gunter's Haus. I am currently working with issues.
