how do i find what version of Direct X i am using.

and what differance would it make if i upgraded.

and where do i go to upgrade

and what is the latest version

Start-->run-->dxdiag

Currently there is not much difference in upgrading.

DirectX 9.0 is the latest.

I am using version 8.1 so you are saying it would not be any use to upgrade

Doesn't the Radeon 9500/9700 have a few DirectX9 features?

They have all of them. They are dx9 100% compatable.

DirectX Version 9.0a released. Mainly covers bugfixes.

Some games like Freelancer require DX9.
