If you were ever a Quake fan or if you read Firingsquad.com you've probably heard of the guy that dominated Quake as "Thresh" Dennis Fong, and his company gamers.com. But now...it seems like he's disappeared off the face of the internet, anyone know what happened to the guy?

My guess is people stopped playing Quake and he couldnt learn a new game.

...or advertisers realized that being really good at a video game doesn't mean you have good $$ sense.

Without a new Quake game most folks move on to the bigger and better games. I'm sure he did too. His 15 min was up!

Well, if you believe this page, (http://www.challenge-tv.com/players/quake/playerdetail.phtml?in=21) he's now a Bhuddist monk & no longer plays. I wonder if monks are allowed to drive Ferraris?

Sheesh! That's a change in life-style.
Take a look at the email address apmiller. :o
Last time thresh was mentioned was February 14, 2003 news article. He's called a Chief Gaming Advisor but the editorial contribution link doesn't work. http://firingsquad.gamers.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=4846
You can see from the comments other people have been wondering what happened with him.
He is still listed here and the email address doesn't bounce back. http://firingsquad.gamers.com/about/contactus.asp

He's not even listed at Firingsquad.com anymore, at least, not in the writers or anything, kind of weird.

Maybe he's just changed his name so he could go work for someone else?

He has gone underground to secretly develop his Quake games of mass destruction program. The French, of couse, deny the existance of any Quake games in Thresh's possession. ;)
