I'm looking for the difference's between SmartMedia and Compact Flash. Which is better, who has the best transfer rates, what is more widely accepted. etc. etc.

Smartmedia is a pretty slow medium. Compactflash is better in everyway except its size.

Yeah, I wouldn't ever be able to fill one of those up. However, for professional photographers, they make a lot of sense. They're saving HUGE over buying film.
