nec dvd burner

ok this is very confusing to me. can someone tell me wat kind of burner is nec's nd-1100a? some sites said its a dvd-rw and other said its dvd+rw. when i check nec's website, it said its dvd-+rw. if thats the case, im goin to get one. its under 200bucks on a lot of sites. if u own it, please tell us if u like it or not.
