I'm not sure if this should be in this forum, but it is related to the Dell deal for a 600C... Here goes:
Does anyone know if I can upgrade the Celeron processor in the 600C to a "real" Pentium 4? In other words, is everything else the same except for the processor? Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I believe the celeron comes with the 400bx chipset and also has a slow Front Side Bus.
The P4 comes with the Server Works GC - SL chipset and the 533mhz frontside bus.
The differences would make me think that it is not possible to put a P4 proc in the celeron machine.
Yep, direct swap out for the P4.

hrm, if you can find a cheap P4, that would make the 600C actually a decent system! :)

Actually, there was just a thread a few weeks ago for the same system with a P4 free upgrade. It was like $269 I believe.
Keep an eye out. The servers keep popping up.
