I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. When your battery light goes dim red, REPLACE THE BATTERIES. I was able to save my metroid games when the light was dim red, but apparently Pokemon Sapphire has to copy more data.
So...I just got the sixth bagde, I was going to save my game and quit for the night...and "click!" my gba turned off and when I restarted it...no more pokemon. (They were leveled into the 40's!)

Ooooo, that's gotta hurt!
"And remember kids, always save your progress! And do it often! You don't want to be the next victim in this horrible, horrible act."
Wait, did you say Pokemon Sapphire? I'm not sure I feel all that bad for you anymore. Is that actually fun? Let's get a little review on this game...

It's a BLAST. Up until this weekend, I couldn't put it down. I play most GBA games with a rom and flash cartridge. This one I bought.
Reminds me of the commercial where the old man and kid are playing a fighting game against each other. The kid keeps beating the old man. Then the kids Gameboy batteries run out and the old man wins and goes: "Yeahhh!!" :bigmouth:

And always remember to take 10-20 minute breaks every hour or you'll find yourself twitching uncontrollably on the floor. Note, during this is a good time to save. :D

Oh...*THAT's* what it was. I thought I had eaten some bad Chinese food.

hehe, I wonder how bad games have really been for people having seizures. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have tried to beat a Final Fantasy in one sitting that haven't had a problem. Sounds like Pokemon Sapphire might be a long game as well..

You're never to old to be a kid!
Now Pokemon is a whole different story! I just can't see how something so annoying can be entertaining.

My point exactly...dude I play video games! Of course you're never told to be old to be a kid...
BUT you need to be like 4 to actually enjoy Pokemon...

You prolly have never played StarWars/Magic/Startrek CCG's. If you have, you would realize how complex effective strategies are. Pokemon card games are the same-you need to think ahead; plan, and execute strategy.
The video games, while no means brain strainers, do actually require a great deal of forethought.
I very much enjoy pokemon, and I am fairly new to it.
Oh...Did I mention that I'm 27, have a Master's degree, and a degree in chemistry? (in case you were *serious* about the age thing)

hehehe...I'm just joking here...
btw I do still buy startrek ccg cards :disa: so I do know about CCGs...played Star Trek, Star Wars, Magic, Pokemon, B5, Young Jedi, and a couple of others.
I just think it's kinda funny. I mean Nintendo caters the whole pokemon thing to small kids. They should put you in a commercial. It would be a riot....
Then again I think Mario Party is the best game ever...oh well...
..
..
You know...here in the games section not everyone is like canta so lighten up :D

I wasn't aware Babylon5 had a CCG. Prolly a good thind, as I would have spent a lot of money to get it. I actually bailed from the card games when StarWars was gaining popularity, and made a small profit off of my SW rares.

My agent called just the other day. We're in negotiations. I'm holding out for Nintendo stock options. :D

Yeah it did. In my opinion it was the best game very made. I was a ranger for the game (rules judge) and I even went to Regionals, finishing 3rd or something. The game was more complex than anything currently out there. It was designed for 3 or more players in mind, and a lot of the game depended on your interactions with the other players. You really couldn't win by yourself unless you had the support of others. However, games usually lasted a while (2-4 hours).
I really don't want to count the amount of money I put into ccgs...:disa:
