Hi All,

Ok, so I found out that my AGP video card is shot (good thing I had 2 PCI's in there to back it up :)). Anyway, I'd like to get a new card with the following requirements:

- Dual Monitor Support
- TV-In (preferably that can display on either monitory)
- Semi-powerful. I don't play any games really, but do like to play
the occasionally. Top of the line support is not necessary
- I'd like to keep it under $100

Anyway, what do you think about this:

I know I'd have to get an extra VCR or something to use the video in. Let me know what you think of this one, or suggest something else

I'd get a radeon 8500 all in wonder, something along those lines.

I had looked at those, but I could find any of the ATI's with BOTH dual-monitor support and TV-in. Did I overlook anything? I haven't paid much attention to video cards for awhile :)

Thanks!

you are probably going to have to pick on, either dual monitor OR tv in. I wanted both as well but couldn't find a good one that had both. I was deciding between the Radeon 8700 pro and the AIW version of it. Dual monitors is nice, but not super super usefull for me.

He means tv tuner.

Sorry, I was tired and distracted when I wrote that :)

By TV-in, what I meant (which was not clear at all) is any kind of video input, whether it be cable, RCA or S-video. Seems to me that the only dual-monitor cards which have any sort of video input at the "VIVO" cards, am I right? The reason I'd like the card to have it is so I can drag the screen across both monitors when I want to. I don't mind buying a cheap VCR to do the actual tuning.

Thanks again for the help!

AIW cards have video and RCA inputs. My new Dell 4550 will have a R9000Pro AIW (extra $100 for that). It's not as fast as R8500Pro AIW but it's a cheap upgrade since I don't game much.

I'll second that, I've done it before. Although if you just want to casually watch TV and you don't have a spare TV, this works just fine.
