This should really be under "hardware" forum, but i figured it'll probably get more response in the "got deal" forum...
But does anyone know exactly how to make the back up CDRs for dreamcast? Like what kind of software is needed? and how do u make the boot disk? I have heard differnt ways of making it...somthing tells me that EZ CD creater will not work for this... > http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif ...So if u know how to do it, please share it with us.. we're all very curious about it..
thanks

Also getting more reponses in the Gto Deals page might not be a good thing .....
But anyways go seach for the topic it has come up and I have pointed ppl to a bbs that might be of some help.
you can NOT back up dreamcast games. a certain piracy group figured out how to crack the GD-rom protection, and are releasing games on the warez scene. they have not given any on info on how the cracked it though. the only way to back up a DC game is to download one of their releases. you can't backup copies of your own games.
also, visit http://www.dccopyworld.com for more info

Yes, it is possible to back up dreamcast games, but only with 2 different Yamaha backup devices. Once you have the yamaha, you just download a firmware patch for it that allows it to read GD-ROMs

it's all moot anyway. Unless you have programming knowledge, you will not know what to do with the data extracted from the gdrom....
