If for some reason you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would the song be?
And if you were captured and interrogated, what one song would you want them *not* to play over and over again?
Sort of a Mystery Science 3000 (?) thing with songs instead of bad movies.

This makes me think of a fraternity hazing story I once heard, where all the pledges had to sit silently in a pitch black room, while the Gilligan's Island theme was blasted at max volume over and over again for 10 hours straight! No wonder frat boys are all friggin' nuts! :heh:

The absolute worst song that I would not like to listen to forever would be "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers.
I have always hated that song and will continue doing so for as long as I live.

I nominate Mickey by Toni Basil. It would be even worse if you had to watch the video at the same time. I wonder where they found those 'cheerleaders'?

"Wake me up before you go-go" by Wham!
There was a story awhile ago about a guy being pinned in his car for 18 hours while his "Wham's greatest hits" cassette played over and over in his stereo.

and there are just too many songs i hate for me to list one specific tune, but as of the past couple of years or so, i could really do without EVER hearing "air force ones" by nelly or "in da club" by 50 cent... :puke:

If I had to listen to one song-I guess it would have to be Aint No Mountain High Enough (Supremes Version)...
and the one that makes me cringe is "Feelings"..UGH.
O WAIT..CAN WE MAKE A LIST?
OK
One song list:
Anything by the Supremes
Brick House -Hendrix
Anything by the Doors
Dave Matthews -Ants Marching
Play that Funky Music White Boy.
All things Sinatra
All things Dean Martin
Anything Christmas
the NO list:
Rap (I can't figure out why all those rappers only sing about screwing, drugging, and drinking, and angst...Ugh..it's boring!)
Feelings -(see above)

Best song: Sexual Healing, by Marvin Gaye... it would be like one really long lead-in to a porno movie
Worst song: Lovin' You, by Minnie Riperton but sung by Geddy Lee from RUSH

Worst... That Mambo Number Five song.
I hate very few things in this world... but that song is one of those things.
Best? Ice Cube, "Really Doe". I have no idea on a best song. I just had to get that Mambo song off my chest.
EDIT: After thinking about it... I'll say "American Pie" Don McLean or maybe "When a Man Loves a Woman" Percy Sledge for "Best".
Dave.

Rush is one of the greatest bands ever, but you gotta admit that the singers voice is a little strange.... good, but strange

Same answer for both... any song that I hate (Hmmm... can't think of one right now however...). Whether it gives me pleasure or pain... listening to just one song for the rest of my life would get me to hate that song over time. I'd rather hate a song that I already hate.

Stabbing Westward's "Happy" has been in my Winamp playlist for almost 2 years, and I'm still enthralled every time I hear it. It's not necessarily my favorite song, but apparently, I can listen to it for quite a while. :P

absolute worst - "my heart will go on" by celine dion, having to listen to it nonstop makes me think of the days of the Titanic craze when every radio station played it 10 times an hour.
