Linksys 4port A/P Router error

The diag light on my linksys 4port a/p + router keeps blinking red. I read the manual and it said try manually entering the IP to my computer and then reloading the firmware. When i try this, it can't detect the router. I tried using the reset button, to no avail.

This happened while i was updating the lousy firmware on the router last night. Does anyone have any suggestions? i'm lost!
