The Yepp YP-55, runs off of 1 AAA battery (I prefer batteries over rechargable.) Its small, has 256MB built in, and has FM Radio (with 20 presets.)

Wonder how good the battery life is though. My Yepp player that runs off 1 AAA battery doesn't last too long.

I think he likes the fact that you can take this battery out and get one pretty much anywhere. If it is an internal rechargable battery, you would have to plug it in to recharge it.

Here in Korea, you can encounter hunderds of different models of MP3 players, both domestic and imported from various different Asian countries. When I was shopping around for mine, the first rule of thumb among MP3 enthusiasts (about a year ago, anyway) was to avoid Samsung Yepp players at all costs. You could rely on Samsung in pretty much anything except MP3 players. Of course, things may have turned around for Samsung's MP3 department since then. Just a heads up. Do plenty of research.

I got my Samsung Yepp about a year ago from a deal on Amazon and I really liked it. It's the 64MB version of the one that looks like an egg. It is a good player that runs off 1 AAA battery. Only problem is it goes through batteries quick.

~ 2 or 3 hours if I remember correctly. I haven't used it since a battery blew up inside it. I'll put another battery in there tommorow to check if it works and i'll listen until it dies to let ya know.

3 - 4 hours sounds close to what I'd get out of the little Yepp (I think they nicknamed it "Baby Yepp" or something like that. Definately way too short for a flash-based MP3 player.
