Knew it was just a matter of time.
Can it live up to the hype?

I am almost willing to bet that the same criticism levied against UT2k3 will be levied against HL2. "It doesnt feel the same."
Indeed. And if its like the original, people will complain its the same just with updated graphics.
I've never played half-life. too many people talkin' shizzle, not enough gameplay for me

I am looking forward to it, we'll just have to see. Valve did pretty damned well with HL, and I always loved their multiplayer. Can't stand the outdated graphics now though ;) so spoiled with new games.
All the stuff they were working on for this game should be pretty amazing though

They claim the graphics will be on par with Doom 3. Better be.

Mmm...Half-Life 2...
It should be a good game, I'm just worried that in order to play it we will have to build new PC's!

Half life is one of the few FPS that I couldn't play for my than 5 minutes. I REALLY REALLY wanted to play and finish the game, but I have motion sickness. I mean I can play UT, CS, and some other FPS, but Half-Life totally made me dizzy in about 5 minutes.
Don't ask me why I can play CS (based on the HL engine) and not HL.
I hope my brain likes HL2.

They've got some cool looking screenshots, but I wouldn't say it's Doom III level.
