I noticed that I was crashing a little to often so I tried to defrag and i got a message that says I don't have enough room. Huh... Anyways Long story short, has anyone experienced a huge amount of space being taken up by Temp Internet file but nothing showing up...Just seems like a big hole with nothing in it but taking alot of space...Have tried all options that I can think of.

when you are viewing folfers like documents and settings/username/Local Settings/ temp and temp internet files

make sure you have tools>folde options set to show all files. the files taking up space may ne hidden files

Could be your page file... Try this though:

- open up Windows Explorer.

- click the search button

- from the menu on the left choose all files and folders

- choose the drop down for what size is it?

- Specify siz is At least and fill in the blank. since you're looking for a large file, tell it to show you all files larger than 10,000kb

That will run the search and show you any file that is that size or larger.

Thxs for the help but...Haven't been able to find anything in that file. I can delete everything in that folder including hidden files, run a search on that folder and I get nothing. I come out to explorer and right click on the file and check properties to check the size and it's like 900mb...but no file to be found...I don't think that the page file is stored here but I'm willing to listen to anyone's theories.

also in IE try going to Tools > internet options> settings and see how large you have your temp int files set too. try bumping it down to 10 mb or so

also try going to start >search > and search your PC for *.tmp and delete those files

also if you have a scanner espicaly Visionear scanners they save huge ass versions of what ever is scanned in their home dir weather you save it or not..... start >search > *.jpg then do the same for *.bmp and for *.gif *.mov *. mpg, etc looking for huge ass files

could also see how large your recycleing bin and how big your pagw filw both reserve HD space
