Columbia house deal stands as a really good way to get cheap dvds. Cancelled my membership today, plan to do it again.

How long did it take Columbia House to send your initial DVDs? I have been waiting for three weeks with nothing and they have already charged my credit card.

The deal has worked fine for me as well. When I rang them to cancel my first subscription, they said it takes about 3 days for web orders to get through their system for processing, then a few days to ship, at which point they bill you CC. They normally take about 3-6 days to get to me in Chicago from when my CC is billed.

Does anyone know if the "FVT" Columbia House deal has some sort of expiration date?
Also, what movie did you guys pay full price for?
thanks

Hey Don, I just got my DVDs and in it was a flyer for movies that were just $19.95. I think i am going to get Boyz in the Hood, but there were a ton of other good movies that were cheap.

If you really want the lowdown on the Columbia House deal, go to the forum where it all began:
DVD Talk Forum (http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubbcgi/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=DVD+Bargains&number=1)
DO a search for Columbia House and be prepared to do some reading. They have 2 separate threads on the subject. 1 pertains to all the available codes, breakdown of cost per DVD, and available titles. The second thread pertains to discussions regarding the deals, interaction with CSRs, etc...
Hope that was helpful.
...And before any cynic suggests it, I am in no way affiliated with DVD Talk. I just think it's a helpful place to go if you own a DVD player.
