Well chosenfool, not everyone can be born with at least small modicum of intellegence. There have to be some people out there at the low end of the scale.

I just wonder why I keep running into them.

heh, im not saying im "more intelligent" than the average shmoe (im not!).

but its COMMON SENSE knowledge! especially if youve been in deals sites such as these. OI!

just pisses me off when something simple is so blatantly missed! mind you these are peoplethat know a little more about computers and how to work them (they can surf, type, and read, and they obviously work with a computer). i cant say theyre that sharp or that smart though, with such colossal blunders...
makes you wonder how their thought processes work. I thought mine was screwed up, but they make me look normal. Hell, they make me look like a friekin genius!

:disa: I wasn't saying you were. Just that there are a lot of stupid people out there. If peeps would just stop and think for a bit life would be much nicer for everyone.

In defense of the people who called: The two rebates did say that the original UPC was required. So there was confusion regarding that issue.
Secondly, the rebates appeared to look very similar; that's another confusing matter.
Third, rebates are sent to "rebate farms" ( that's what I call 'em ). These people probably don't have a clue as to what is acceptable or not. I tend to believe that when there is a question regarding these issues, the consumer will NOT get the benefit of the doubt.
So to expect all three rebates to work is wishful thinking. at best.
Besides, what are you going to do if they don't honor all three rebates? Sue them?

I didn't get in the deal early this morning thus it was gone. It seems like I always need more hard drive space since I filled a 60GB, a 40GB, and part of a 120GB with pr0n.

Just think back to all the times when there were great deals and noobs ordered 8 of them and suddenly the deals were yanked and everyones orders were cancelled. We arent dealing with people who think about the consequences to others, its all the me, me, me mentality.

Obviously if people were concerned enough to call, then they really should not have been buying the drives in the first place. But since they could care less if others lose out but cant afford to have the deal not be real for them, they call. So they dont get screwed, but everyone else does.

you know, it just takes one person to call them up, and 3,000 people to flood the servers. So, whose at fault, those that confirm, or those tons and tons of people that bought? It was an unintentional deal. If you got it, great. If you didn't, don't start bitching about it or pointing fingers because You have no idea what killed the deal at all.

Sometimes you get the deal, sometimes the deal gets you. All part of the Circle Of Shopping.
