CDRW problem

I got a new lite-on 52x burner..works perfect.
But when I try to read a data CD, I can't access the files in explorer. The drive will read it and pop up the prompt to open the file in Media Player or "open folder to view files". But only way cd will even read is if i select the 'open file in media player' option.
Anyone know what I can do?

Sounds like you've managed to associate your data files with Windows Media Player.

If you open up Windows Explorer and make sure that you are able to view hidden/system files under Tools|FolderOptions|View, are you able to see the files?

If not, choose the File Types tab and check what program is associated with the data file types you are trying to read.
