After suffering with the horrible ethernet that my landlord provides, I have decided to go with cable internet access since I have digital cable jacks in all my rooms. I would like to get 3 cable modems so me and my roomate can be wired and the PS2 in the family room. I dont want to use a router or a switch cause of the messy wires and wireless for now is to expensive. If anyone knows where I can get a few good cheap cable modems that would be great.

I Can't believe that your Cable provider wouldn't charge you an additional fee for having multiple modems (I know mine would/does).
It 'might' be cheaper to buy a wireless router, a wireless card (for the roomate), and a wireless bridge (for the ps2).
it would certanly be cheaper over the long run.
One other thought If there is currently wired ethernet there's likely nothing keeping you from using it (just setup a different subnet, and get a cheap cable modem router to serve dhcp for a diff subnet)

I know that google gear and new egg both have some that come down to below 50 after rebates.

that's google gear's, I'm too lazy to get the new egg one though.
Just go to new egg and search for cable modem.
it'll be the $66 one.
