Was curious about the free Matrix screening that was posted on the Deals page on Friday. I signed up for the one in San Diego and when I went back to the page today, this had been added to the top of the signup:

"This event is by INVITATION ONLY! If you did not receive an e-mail invitation, don't sign up as you will not be allowed in the theatre."

I didn't receive an invitation (unless G|A counts) so will I be able to get in? Anyone else gonna try this? Thanks.

I have work that night, or I would try to get into the austin showing. I know that a few of my friends signed up and the tickets came out and all. Since they printed their tickets, they added that message to the top, so I'm not sure if they're going to get in.... but they're going to try to.
You should at least try to get in, and if they send you away, all you're out is the gas it took to get you there and back....

:P

You do realize that the tickets each have different serial numbers. When the deal first came up, before the additional terms were listed, we got two tickets...and they have distinct ticket numbers. Now I didnt click on the link someone provided but if its just a copy of a ticket, then its not going to have its unique number.

I just looked at the link...the person cut off the ticket number, so it doesnt even look like the tickets that you got from the site originally and you wont get in.

Recieved the bad news this morning.

"Ride2bhi has been un-plugged.... Unfortunately your registration can't be verified. Please contact the person who invited you or Network Appliance if you have been erroneously un-plugged. You will not be allowed into the movie without a VERIFIED e-mail ticket."

Bah, guess I will have to pay to see what looks like the best movie ever...

Since your in the Bay Area, look in either the San Jose Metro or the San Francisco Bay Guardian for info on movie screenings. They have info on how to get tickets for screenings all the time in those 2 papers. ;)
