Maxtor Rebate Problem?

I just got an EMail whick linked me to RebatesHQ.com which says that the Maxtor 120 GB $30 Rebate at Staples from about a month ago is invalid. They are supposed to send me a postcard. Anyone receive this notification yet?

I have never had this kind of problem with a rebate. Who do I contact? Staples or Maxtor?

hmm..interesting. I've never had any problems like this before, but
the store you purchased this product from does not honor this particular promotion. sounds like the reason. Maybe that's why they usually say in their advertisements available in certain areas? I'd call Staples and make sure that they accept the rebate. Also, do you remember if the heading for the rebate said Staples of Maxtor?
