Hi. I'm just curious. This is a Dell Package being offered by my company. I'm just wondering you guys think 1490.93 including tax and shipping is worth it for something like this...

-Pentium 4 (Processor 2.40GHz, 533FSB, 512K Cache, Intel Gigabit NIC)

-1 GB RAM (DDR Non-ECC SDRAM 2 DIMMs)

-40 GB Hard Drive (EIDE 7200RPM)

-32X DVD-CDRW Combo Drive with Software Decode

-Integrated Gigabit Network Card

-TWO 18-inch flat panel LCD monitors (DELL UltraSharp 1800FP 18-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor)

-Harman/Kardon 206 Speakers

-Windows® XP Home Version, Service Pack 1, with CD using NTFS

-Small Desktop Chassis Stand

-1.44MB 3.5 Inch Floppy Drive

-Dell PS/2 Keyboard in Gray, No Hot Keys

-Integrated Intel Gigabit (10/100/1000), with Alert Standards Format

I'd pay $600 for that.

did you notice the fact that it had TWO 18" LCD Flat Panel monitors? I would pay a little more than $600.00

Well that changes it. I'd rather get one LCD and a far better computer.

Because two is better than one. :duh: I use a multiple monitor setup and think it is worth it.

Is basically a financial advisor's machine. Thats why they ares selling it with dual monitors.

Vid Card: 64MB DDR Geforce 4MX, dual monitor compatible.
OptiPlex GX260 Small Desktop
3Yr Parts + Onsite Labor (Next Business Day)

Given these additional things.
Now how much would you guys pay for this?

for 1500 i would hope it came with windows xp pro, office xp pro. if it did, i would think it's a better deal than most. unless people plan on using pirated software

Well, my monitor supports both DVI (digital) or VGA (analog). Since my video card outputs both, I could technically have two of these LCDs connected at the same time.

I dont think that card supports dual monitors.
If it had that radeon 9700tx it would be a cool set up. You can run one off the DVI and the 2nd off the VGA connector.

I have that monitor and its very nice. Paid around $400 shipped. There have been better deals on computers from dell for under $600.

Just some thoughts.

i'd honestly pay about $1200 at most for that set up. $1500, I'd say is a bit steep.
