All I can say is "wow"... and where is the "Death Star" comparison? As the death star was the size of a small moon, lets's call it 500 Kilometers= 500,000 meteres.
So displayed at 1 pixel for 1 meter, it would be just over 488 screens wide at 1024 by 768 resolution. The uncompressed image would be 238,418.6 MB in size, or just under a quarter terabyte. As a jpeg with 90% compression, it would be a mere 23.8 gigabytes. So if it was there it would take a bit for you to see it while it downloads...
That's 36 hours at 1.5 megabit/sec (or 4.5 hours at 1.5 megabytes/sec)
/edit
These numbers are off the top of my head... any math nazis need not apply.

The really, really sad part is that you KNOW that somewhere (hopefully far, far away...) there is a really heated argument regarding the technical accuracy of that site...by people who have never seen sunlight...and at least one of them is dressed in full Klingon garb...

what did you go out side and measure it, most of the things on that site dont exsist.
its just i always looked at the MF as being bigger then slave 1... thats what the perception was like in the movies and i wouldnt know it was much thiner in comparison.
oooh here comes xsiled's poop, approximate length of 1,560,000km so massive it is almost twice the size of the second deathstar.

Anyone notice you can actually drag and drop all of the ships around the screen for comparison?
