I have considered it, but I have never had a nice enough car to bother with it. I have had nice cars, but I would have to have something that stand out to bother with it. Like a hearse with a plate that said UNDEAD.

Mine says KBØWWP. Here in MN, you can get plates with your amateur radio calls on it for $13.50. Supposedly, if there's a disaster a cop can spot my plates and draft me to provide emergency communications. Of course, I've never heard of that happening. One plus - it is legal for me to have a scanner with police frequencies in the car.

I have one for the front of my car (just a vanity and not a government issued one). it says gotapex.com :)
I want to get jeepgrl or something like it on mine, but hubby says he'd be too embarrassed to drive it. ;)

Not really that interested in a vanity plate. I think some are pretty cool and imaginative like the "3M TA3" one but there are more that are dumb than there are that are witty. :)

So now we can all find out where DF lives...all we have to do is use his license plate and state to do a search. But I think we should wait till he gets his HTPC set up before someone breaks in and liberates his stuff. I call dibs on the fish tanks. :D
Now, concerning the topic. I dont have one but my father has them on two of the family cars and both have to do with Tennis of all things. I have thought about it a couple of times, but I cant justify throwing away extra money for no good reason. Plus I cant think of anything that would be unique enough.

Like you ain't know... :D (don't mind the date on the expiration, it's an "old" picture of my plate.)
BTW... shouldn't this be in the "automotive" section?
Who is Dork Fury? :D

Eh, mine is just a front one, so not a real license plate, and it cost me $15. :)
If i was to get one, it would have to say something that I absolutely loved..
like... b00bies

Back in high school instead of study, I used to sit and write up all these lists of things that would fit on a CA plate. That's actually where I got my handle from. Speedracer fits in a SPDRCR, but my favorite was SLVRBLT or RACERX. But alas, I'm to poor to pay the outlandish extra costs for vanity plates.

My friend has that plate in California. It hasn't gotten revoked. I called him an idiot after he got it because he didn't have his front plate mounted so nobody could see it in a mirror.
