I saw this on CNN this afternoon. The message stated that the Legislators try, or already did, to ban the sell of sex toy, vibrator...WTF.....I think these guys must really bore to come up with this kind of stuff.
Anybody know anything about this issue???
Vibrators and dildos are already illegal in some states, I believe. I have heard this although I am not gonna google up confirmation.

This was in Alabama and the legislature voted to leave the ban intact. I guess that still leaves the folks in the back-country to their goats and cousins. :2far:

Why do legislators feel they must intrude into people's bedrooms? Who really gives a **** if someone uses a vibrator?

Typical conservative rationality. They support your civil rights and personal freedoms until it crosses into the scope of their very narrow so-called morality.

I didnt say all conservatives are like that, but my statement was not wrong. It WAS a conservatitive view point which led to that banning.

Indeed... similarly... yet conversely... how the "Play Nice" Liberals in a CA committee proposed a bill that banned the rolling of one's eyes in committee sessions because, among other reasons, someone's feelings might get hurt.
:hmm:
By the way... I noticed the poster's name right away, too. :P

I posted it, because I was wondering if they ban all sex toys or
just the ones use by women..... ....since CNN only showed
"ban sex toy...vibrator."

At least people have morality *gasp* {a dirty word for sure} unlike those who try to rationalize stealing.

If these guys would get a blowjob from their wives once in awhile maybe they wouldn't be so goddamn uptight.

Well... I wouldn't say "our" leaders... more like "their" leaders. This sounds like a local issue.
And, if I had to guess, it probably an ill-fated attempt to run sex/adult video shops out of town/business along with the alleged riff-raff associated with them.
Not judging here... so don't jump on me about this. Just guessing about what it was an attempt to do. Probably targeted at a more general (yet still quite specific) cause/goal.

Conservatives and liberals suck. Lets trade the Republicans and Democrats for Greens and Libertarians, I say. At least they believe in something beyond their poll numbers amongst their core constituencies.

Not rationalizaing stealing, defining stealing. I don't agree with the RIAA's definition of stealing. You're just mad because you know I was right, the ban was typical southern bible beating conservative values.
Does that mean I deny that liberals do quirky thigns too? Ofcourse not. But this thread was about liberals was it? Thats what I thought.
