I don't want this thread to be a debate, please.

I just wanted to remind those that do pray and those that think they might need to, that today is the national day of prayer.

If you need a place to gather your thoughts and join others, most churches/temples/synagogs are hosting prayer vigils during the noon hour.

Some things you might want to add to your prayers:

The troops serving abroad
The staff of the hundreds of embassies abroad
The staff in public service jobs in America
The people (not the establishment) that serve in local, state, and federal government

All these people need protection, patience, and wisdom

And, hey-pray for your family. When was the last time you asked for a blessing on your folks?

I will also be praying for blessings on the members and guests of these forums. :)

Is Budweiser an official sponsor of National Prayer Day?

You know what...there probably is....:) But, National Prayer Day was established a looooooooooooooong time ago. Like...founding fathers long time ago. But Regan<sp?> set it to be the first Thursday in May.

Isnt Thanksgiving supposed to fulfill the same idea? Seems like we have two days of national prayer. No wonder we are twice as powerful as anyone else. God loves us twice as much!
