As you can all tell by my other post, I am trying to figure out which Motherboard to get when I build my new tower.
From what I have read, I am assuming that I should get a mobo that supports that 800mhz FSB, I gather that the Canterwood (875P) is the only only one that is currently out and that the Springfield (865) is due out shortly? Furthermore, the Springfield will be more "friendly" as it would support 400/500/800 FSB as compared to the Canterwood which will only support 500/800?
So I guess my question is, in light of how machines have been "evolving" what is my best purchase option. I want the ability for future upgrades but not be required to put in the most expensive chip off the bat.
Additionally, from what I can tell I would want Dual Channel DDR ram to be used on the MOBO.
