I burned 16X CDR's at 24X with no problems.
I haven't tried any other combos yet, because I generally burn at 8X.

Burned the CHEAPEST of the cheap media at 48x.

I JUST burned some 4x (which I have 2 cases of) at 40x. It seems to me the burn is usually dictated by what I'm burning, not so much the media...

I have burned some Prime Peripherals 16x CD-R media at 40x successfully. However, at least one disc has suffered from "bubbles" in the disc. The movie slowed down considerably and started skipping at these parts, so I check out the back. I was actually able to move these bubbles around with my finger from the top of the disc and it seems to have ruined the disc even more. I'll think twice about burning at that speed again. :hmm:
